Manager - Insurance Accounting & Finance - Benefitfocus - Charleston, SC -

We’re looking for a Manager of Accounting & Finance to be answerable for the accounting data and projections for our newer insurance brokerage entity. The perfect candidate may have expertise within the insurance business and a want to associate with the enterprise to realize widespread objectives.

Job Duties:
Full duty for the insurance brokerage entity, together with the revenue assertion (income accruals and calculations, bills), and the stability sheet.
Venture brokerage income based mostly on present insurance policies and relevant fee charges, with duty for the price range and forecast.
Keep insurance service help for all insurance policies and fee percentages.
Keep direct relationships with service companions with a view to monitor and facilitate reconciliations of commissions and bonus data.
Apply money receipts and reconcile receivables and different associated accounts.
Develop and implement template for service reporting.
Display new potential service companions previous to onboarding to the Benefitstore community.
Interface with different enterprise features to make sure correct accounting for revenues and bills associated to help, implementation, authorized, and so forth.
Monitor and keep inner controls and insurance policies relevant to the entity.
Oversee the audit in relation to the insurance brokerage entity.

Qualifications / Necessities:
Bachelor’s diploma in Accounting/Finance or associated subject
Public accounting expertise and a CPA certification strongly most popular
Strong understanding of GAAP, notably within the insurance business
Expertise creating insurance policies and processes
Software program business expertise a plus
Expertise with Netsuite and Adaptive Insights a plus
