Non-Tenured-Track Business Communication Lecturer
The College of Business at the University of Nevada, Reno is seeking to hire a full-time Lecturer (non-tenure-track) to teach Business Communication at the undergraduate level, starting Fall 2017. The position has a four course per semester teaching load (4-4). Additionally, the position requires contributions to the mission of the university by providing service and other shared governance activities and by facilitating connections with the regional business community. Service activities might relate to students (e.g., supervising independent studies and student clubs) as well as to general administration (e.g., student advising and serving on university committees) and outreach (e.g., providing presentations to business groups in the community).

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.


To be successful in this role, you’ll bring a passion for education, strong classroom experience, and a depth of knowledge related to business writing and norms for communication in the corporate world.

Required Qualifications:
This position requires a minimum of a Master’s degree in Business, Business Communication, or related areas. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of excellence in teaching. The selected candidate must be able to meet and maintain AACSB standards for academic or professional qualifications.


Preferred Qualifications:
A doctoral degree is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates who possess strong interpersonal skills and relevant work experience.
