HLK, a full-service digital agency with offices in St. Louis and Denver, is seeking a highly motivated and savvy Digital Media Planner/Buyer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have a passion for digital advertising and an insatiable desire to learn and explore emerging trends as well as align with core values: Be Curious, Be Thoughtful and Be Brave.

The role of the Digital Media Planner/Buyer is a broad one and will give you exposure to all functions within Media – research & strategy, negotiation, ad serving & implementation, and analysis. It combines creative thinking with factual analysis to develop innovative strategies to ensure campaigns reach their target audiences as effectively as possible. The types of plans and budgets vary greatly and you’ll gain tremendous experience with all different digital mediums (search, display, mobile, etc.). The successful candidate will have a passion for digital advertising and an insatiable desire to learn and explore emerging trends.


AREAS OF UNDERSTANDING & COMPETENCE


Ability to work with the client and the account teams to understand client business objectives in order to develop strategic interactive media plans


Consult with creative, strategy and account management teams to develop campaign recommendations such as display, paid social, email, mobile, rich media, search marketing and more


Work with Analytics team to develop measurement plans


Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign results and make regular recommendations on how to optimize campaign performance


Update performance dashboards for campaign reporting


Maintain expert knowledge of mobile, social and emerging digital media and contribute to agency education and knowledge sharing


General knowledge and understanding of broadcast, print and OOH media


Minimum 2 years online/digital/interactive advertising experience required


Experience with DMPs & DSPs


Familiar with data analytics packages (Google Analytics, Webmaster Tools, eHavior, etc.)


Strong knowledge of all planning / ad serving tools (Strata, Nielsen/comScore, DCM, etc.)


Able to produce high quality work within a fast-paced, dynamic environment


Experience presenting to clients and internal teams
